A study was carried out at San Jose State University to understand the remote work.
The title of the study was Relationship Between Remote Work and Job Satisfaction: The Mediating Roles of Perceived Autonomy, Work-Family Conflict, and Telecommuting Intensity.
The study looked across a sample of 185 employees who filled an online survey.
Key Findings : Results showed that remote work had a positive relationship with job satisfaction.
The major implication of the findings was that increasing remote work in the workplace may be an efficient way to increase employees’ job satisfaction levels. This is because remote work influences employees to have higher perceived autonomy, less work-family conflict, and more telecommuting intensity, which in turn influences their job satisfaction.
